Choosing Your Pourover

In the cafe we stock pourovers aplenty, and the most common question we get regarding these brewing devices is “Which one is best?”  While it would be much simpler if we could just point and say “that one”, it wouldn’t be very much fun would it? The reality is that we like them all, and all for different reasons.  Each device imparts something unique to the final cup depending
on its design, filtration medium, and/or applied technique.

Over the next several weeks we are going to take a look at some of the different pourovers we use, techniques for using them, and how they all produce cups that have their own unique trademark or character.  Whether you are taking the plunge into manual brewing at home for the first time or simply adding another pourover to your existing arsenal, we hope you can use this guide to help you in your decision making. In the end, it’s safe to say that the best pourover is the one you like the most!

Check back soon and follow us through the wonderful world of pourovers.

Great idea for your blog. We get customers asking similar questions all the time, especially as one method might appear to be more popular than another. Talking about the difference in the cup is really important and a key education piece. Thanks!
